Lowell, Oregon provides some of the best waterways for boating, water sports and fishing in the region.

Lowell sits on the shores of Dexter Lake, formed between Lookout Point Dam and Dexter Dam. 22 miles southeast of Eugene on Highway 58, Dexter Lake is best known for its highly developed day use recreation areas.

Dexter Lake is a popular recreation area offering year-round fishing, seasonal water skiing, wakeboarding, sailing, rowing, swimming, picnicking and hunting. Dexter Lake is also home of the Oregon Association of Rowers.

Dexter Lake is also one of the venues for regional and national Columbia Drag Boat Association (CDBA) races each summer. CDBA features some of the hottest action in the entire country from 230 MPH Top Alcohol Hydrosto super competitive bracket categories.

Nearby Lookout Point is lightly used by boaters and is a great place for solitude, exploring, wind surfing, fishing for kokanee, and viewing bald eagles. Fall Creek Lake is a popular site for trout fishing, water-skiing and swimming. These lakes are managed by the Corp. of Engineers.
